KidZui helps parents make internet safer for kids

4 June 2008 No Comment

KidZui, an internet browser said to be safe for kids, launched its free version Wednesday.

KidZui features more than 600,000 websites, pictures and videos pre-approved by parents and teachers. The pre-approved content is a sigh of relief for parents, who no longer need to look over the shoulders of their children while they use the internet.

“After seeing the overwhelmingly positive response in the two months since launch, we decided to make the flagship product free for everyone,” KidZui CEO Cliff Boro said.. “Now even more kids can benefit from the power and promise of the Internet in a fun and engaging, family-friendly way.”

KidZui also offers a premium version, which includes extras for kids using the internet and monitoring tools for parents. $4.95/month or $49.95/year will buy a premium membership.

The premium version allows kids to create Zuis (avatars), change background themes and use more tags to rate content. Parents benefit from a premium membership with email updates and detailed online activity reports.
