Check Out Michael Jackson’s Anti-Abortion Song
Sony released a 25th anniversary remastered edition of Michael Jackson’s Bad this week, along with eight previously unreleased songs… including an anti-abortion anthem.
“Song Groove,” aka “Abortion Papers,” includes lyrics like, “Those abortion papers / Signed in your name against the words of God / Those abortion papers / Think about life, I’d like to have my child.”
- Slate’s Amanda Marcotte deems it “a Christianity-heavy screed.”
-Wonkette’s Jesse Taylor points out, “Hey, if you abort ‘em, you can’t dangle ‘em.”
One thing they both agreed on? The song is oddly “catchy.”
Guardianship Of Jackson Kids Now With TJ Jackson
Katherine Jackson has lost guardianship of the Jackson children to her 34-year-old grandson, Tito “TJ” Jackson.
The 82-year-old has had legal custody of Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket since Michael Jackson’s death in 2009. But on Wednesday, her grandson TJ — son of Tito — requested and was granted temporary guardianship of the kids.
The presiding judge said he wasn’t stripping Katherine of her duties because of anything she did but because he is worried “intentional act from third parties” have prevented her from carrying out her duty of care to the children. There have been suspicions that Katherine has been involuntarily sent away ever since her nephew filed a missing persons report with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Office over the weekend.
Randy Jackson told Good Morning America Wednesday that his mother went to Arizona for some much needed rest and that her health is not good. TJ revealed as much in court, telling the judge that he had a strange phonecall with his grandmother on Tuesday evening:
“I’ve never heard my grandmother talk like that. She wasn’t sharp. The pauses, choice of vocabulary … she has not used certain phrases like that before.”
The judge also ruled that Diana Ross — who Michael named as a back-up guardian to his kids in his will — must be informed of the situation as should Michael and Paris’ biological mother, Debbie Rowe.
The children must not be allowed to leave the state of California without court permission. TJ has been advised to seek permanent custody.
Katherine Jackson Could Lose Custody Of MJ’s Kids
It’s been a busy week for the Jacksons: After claims that the family’s matriarch had gone “missing,” Michael Jackson’s three children could be removed from their grandmother care, TMZ said Tuesday.
Apparently, the executors of MJ’s estate are drafting up emergency guardianship papers after Katherine Jackson, 82, was effectively kidnapped by her children — leaving Paris, Prince Michael and Blanket without proper supervision.
The guardianship dispute comes on the heels of a domestic disturbance at Katherine’s home on Monday, according to Katherine’s attorney:
“Yesterday afternoon certain Jackson family members ambushed Katherine Jackson’s home after their vehicle tore through security gates on the tails of the SUV containing Michael Jackson’s children. After exiting their vehicles, Jackson family members ran up to Michael’s children as they yelled and began to aggressively grab at the cell phones in their hands. Out of concern for the wellbeing of Prince, Paris and Blanket Jackson, the children were forced to temporarily leave their home and taken to a safe location. An altercation ensued shortly thereafter and law enforcement arrived at the scene.”
The lawyer added:
“Following the incident, it was learned that one of the family members who was part of the ambush admitted that a plan has been in place for the last three years to remove Katherine Jackson from her home and her beloved grandchildren.”
Major drama within the Jackson family first erupted on Sunday, when reports surfaced that Katherine had gone missing. Her nephew, Trent, filed the missing persons report and Paris tweeted that she hadn’t seen her grandmother in a week and was very concerned.
Authorities soon discovered that an ill Katherine had gone to Arizona to visit her daughter, Rebbie, and other family members. Trent is now under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office for falsely filing a missing persons report.
A source told X17 Online:
“Paris has confided in her cousins that Trent and a security member have been ‘putting her up’ to tweeting out messages against the family.’”
Paris Jackson Talks To Oprah About Coping With Father’s Death
Paris Jackson is sitting down for an intimate chat with Oprah Winfrey on the OWN series Oprah’s Next Chapter. The 14-year-old daughter of late pop great Michael Jackson reveals that she’s still struggling with the death of her father nearly three years after his passing.
Jackson died on June 25, 2009, at the age of 50. Last November, a jury convicted Dr. Conrad Murray of involuntary manslaughter for giving Jackson a lethal dose of the powerful sedative propofol.
“It never gets easier,” Paris tells Oprah in this clip.
An aspiring actress, Paris will play Lundon O’Malley in the fantasy film Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys. The budding socialite joins a cast that includes Larry King, his wife Shawn Southwick King, Love Boat star Ted Lange and former ‘Nsyncer Joey Fatone.
Dr. Conrad Murray gets maximum sentence in Jackson case
Dr. Conrad Murray was hit with the maximum sentence of four years’ imprisonment today for his role in the death of Michael Jackson.
Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter, will serve his time in county jail rather than prison because he is a non-violent felon, TMZ reports.
It is also likely Dr. Murray will serve just half of his sentence. The judge also ordered him to pay restitution to Jackson’s family, but the amount will be decided at a later date; he was also ordered to pay $870 in fines and fees.
Creepy: Michael Jackson’s death bed to be auctioned off
Hundreds of items from the late pop legend Michael Jackson’s rented 55,000-square-foot Southern California home will hit the auction block next month, including the bed he was on when he died.
Darren Julien, owner of Julien’s Auctions, told E! News that while the price for the bed will start around $3,000-5,000, “we let the market dictate its final price.”
Other items slated to be auctioned off are a kitchen chalkboard with a note that reads “I (heart) Daddy,” upholstered chairs smudged with Jackson’s makeup, and various paintings, sculptures and antique furnishings, including an armoire with a message that Jackson wrote on the mirror as inspiration for his “This Is It” tour that never took place.
“TRAIN, perfection, March April. FULL OUT May,” it reads.
