Maggie Gyllenhaal Welcomes Second Daughter
Maggie Gyllenhaal is a mom again.
The 34-year old actress and her husband, Peter Sarsgaard, have added a second daughter to their family. Baby Gloria Ray was born on April 19th in New York City. In addition to her parents, Gloria was also welcomed by big sister, 5-year old, Ramona.
Maggie kept her pregnancy under wraps until she was nearly 4 months saying, “I didn’t let anyone know until three and a half months this time. I went to film festivals. I’m throwing up in the bathroom and having to keep pretzels in my purse, and having to fit into dresses.”

Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard made it official on Saturday: The longtime couple, who have a daughter together, tied the knot in a romantic wedding in Italy.
“We are happy to confirm that Maggie and Peter were married on Saturday, May 2,” the actress’s rep said.
The celebration took place in a small chapel in Brindisi, according to European news reports. Among the guests were Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon.
This is the second week in a row that Italy has been the home of a celebrity wedding: On April 25, Salma Hayek wed French mogul François-Henri Pinault in a star-studded celebration in Venice.
In March, Gyllenhaal celebrated her impending nuptials with a bridal shower attended by friends, including Witherspoon, a source tells PEOPLE.
Gyllenhaal, 31, and Sarsgaard, 38, are parents to daughter Ramona, 2 1/2. The couple announced their pregnancy and engagement exclusively to PEOPLE in 2006 after being together for more than four years.
The pair costarred in 2003′s “In God’s Hands,” a low-budget feature produced by Steven Soderbergh.
Gyllenhaal made her name in the 2002 indie movie “Secretary.” She recently starred in the blockbuster “The Dark Knight,” where she replaced Katie Holmes in the role of Rachel Dawes.
Sarsgaard has starred in films such as “Kinsey,” “Jarhead” (with his wife’s brother, Jake) and “Shattered Glass” for which he earned a Golden Globe nomination in 2004.
Maggie Gyllenhaal is an American stage and screen actress. She is the daughter of director Stephen Gyllenhaal and screenwriter Naomi Foner Gyllenhaal and the older sister of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. She made her screen debut when she began to appear in her father’s films. Gyllenhaal later achieved recognition in a supporting role in the indie cult hit Donnie Darko. She made her break-through role in the 2002 sadomasochistic comedy Secretary, for which she received critical acclaim and a Golden Globe nomination.
Gyllenhaal has appeared in an eclectic range of films, including the indie film Sherrybaby (2006), for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe, the romantic comedy Trust the Man (2006) and big-budget films such as World Trade Center (2006) and The Dark Knight (2008).
