This Is What A Frozen McRib Looks Like (pic)
We’re all excited about the McRib finally making its comeback on certain McDonald’s menus… and to celebrate, some asshole decided to post a pic of what the McRib looks like before they cook it.
Someone always has to spoil it for the rest of us… I hope you’re happy douchebag.
Game Changer: Frito-Lay To Release Chocolate Covered Chips
Frito-Lay knows its customers, that’s why the company is releasing milk chocolate-covered chips for the holidays, and they’re set to hit shelves next week
“When you try something drastically different, you have to walk before you can run,” says a Frito-Lay VP. “We wanted to test our way through this before we go big.” If the chips are successful, they could become permanently available. (I must insist on everyone buying these so I can get them year round…)
So, where did this amazing idea come from? It seems Frito-Lay is following American food trends. People have taken an interest in foods that are a combination of sweet and salt, like ice cream with pretzels. There also have been increasing numbers of snacks sold only as holiday treats between Halloween and New Year’s.
A 5-oz. bag of the chocolate-covered chips will cost $3.49.
Video: Golden Corral Keeps Food In Dumpsters
Have you ever eaten at Golden Corral? Yes? Then maybe you should look away… Reddit exploded this morning in reaction to a video from one of the chain’s employee showing all manner of meat camped out near the dumpster in what he alleged was an attempt to hide it from food inspectors.
“I’ve been working here for a long time, and I don’t think this is right,” says cook Brandon Huber.
Golden Corral later commented on the video, saying that the food was never served to customers, that it was thrown away immediately, and that the manager at the restaurant was terminated. It also accuses Huber of trying to sell the video, and says he participated in disposing of the food.
Pizza Hut Just Unveiled Best Pizza EVER
This is why I freaking love Pizza Hut.
For a limited time, Pizza Hut is offering the best pizza ever created by mankind: Cheesy Beef Poutine Pizza.
The pizza is topped with steak, french fries, cheese curds and mozzarella. It doesn’t come with gravy so maybe it would be a good idea to bring your own.
The only drawback: It’s only available in Canada. Are you buying that plane ticket already?
Burger King To Sell Own Version Of McRib
Are you tired of waiting until October to maybe get a oh-so-delicious McDonald’s McRib sandwich each year? Well, we have good news… kinda: On May 21, Burger King is releasing its own boneless rib menu item, the BBQ-sauce-slathered and sweet-pickle-bearing BK Rib Sandwich.
The knockoff will cost you about $3.49 alone, or $5.59 if you want fries and a drink with that, and it will only be available on summer.
“Our guests have grown to look for a variety of options,” explains Burger King’s vice president of global innovation. “It’s not just about beef anymore, but other proteins like chicken and turkey and pork.”
The BK Rib Sandwich sold “extremely well” when it tested in Louisiana, the VP adds. Also on Burger King’s special menu this summer: a Memphis Pulled Pork sandwich, Carolina BBQ sandwiches, sweet potato fries, a BBQ Chicken Salad, and a bunch of desserts involving Oreos.

Fail: Budweiser Unveils New Can Design
I don’t want to know how much money Budweiser spent on the development of its new beer can… but judging on the process description, they probably overspent.
The company says its engineers spent several YEARS and made major equipment upgrades to create what it calls “a beer can like no other.” What’s it all about? A can shaped to look like Bud’s “bow tie” logo. “This can is eye-catching, easy to grip, trendy, and—according to our research—very appealing to young adults,” says the VP of innovation for parent company Anheuser-Busch.
The bow tie can won’t replace traditional Bud cans yet, they’ll be sold in special 8-packs beginning May 6.
If you are scratching your head thinking why would anyone think this is a good idea, here’s a hint: The new cans contain 8.5 fewer calories… because the new design only holds 11.3 ounces of beer, rather than the standard 12 ounces, and something tells me the price will be the same.
Pizza Hut Pizza Now Comes With Bowls Of Cheese
It’s official: Pizza Hut wants to clog your veins and kill you… at least that what it feels like after they announced their new “Crazy Cheesy Crust Pizza” (and don’t get me started on that name)
What’s new? Attached to each slice are two crust bowls filled with five different types of cheese which amount to about 20-grams-of-fat-per-slice.
Each of the 16 bread cups contains a mix of asiago, romano, fontina, provolone and mozzarella cheese… which doesn’t sound bad unless you want more than one slice.
