Tiger Woods catches a break… from Playgirl
A rep for Playgirl Magazine says the publication will not publish a series of photos that appear to show Tiger Woods nude.
While Daniel Nardicio, the director of marketing for the online adult magazine, contends that Playgirl received photos of a man resembling the golfing ace, the mag has opted not to release them.
“Playgirl has decided to turn down the alleged Tiger Woods nude photos, reportedly taken by camera phone by Woods himself. They were impossible to 100 percent verify, hence the unwillingness to go there.”
The images were alleged sent to Playgirl by a former mistress of Woods in the midst of the sportsman’s devastating sex scandal. Tiger’s lack of participation in the sale of the photos influenced the gay interest mag’s decision not to run the flicks. Playgirl’s editorial policy favors only publishing photos with the consent of the subject: “This is a prime example of the direction Playgirl does not want to take. I prefer subjects who are willing.” Nardicio added.
Last week, Woods’ lawyers secured a court order barring British publications from printing naked pictures or videos of the golfer.
Playgirl plans to re-launch a print version in the spring.
