Closer look at Washington Redskins’ 2009 schedule
To fans of the Washington Redskins, the 2009 Skins’ schedule may look very familiar. After all, the Redskins open the regular season against the New York Giants at the Meadowlands for the second year in a row. Washington also plays consecutive road games at Dallas and at Philadelphia for the second straight year. We’re not done. For the second consecutive year, the Redskins close the regular season on the West Coast with a matchup against the San Diego Chargers.
The Redskins get three prime-time games in 2009, all at home: Week 7 and Week 15 against the Eagles and Giants on Monday Night Football, and Week 16 against Dallas on Sunday night.
Washington has a chance to get out to a good start, with games in Week 2 and 3 against rebuilding St.
Louis and Detroit. That Week 4 game is also very winnable against a Bucs team in transition. Certainly the Skins need to improve upon last year’s 4-4 home record to have any hopes of the postseason.
