Jets (4-3) at Bills (5-2
A New York Jets win on Sunday in Buffalo could turn the AFC East into a three-way tie for first place should the Patriots lose at Indianapolis later on Sunday.
As for this game, the Bills, who have lost two of three games, are 5.5-point favorites over Brett Favre and Co.
Speaking of Favre, is he regressing to his 2006 form? In the past three games, he has thrown three TD passes to go with seven interceptions. The Jets have 15 turnovers this season, including an NFL-high 11 interceptions by Favre.
Favre has been sacked 16 times, one more than all of last season with Green Bay, and has been knocked around in recent games. The 39-year-old acknowledged that he was feeling sore after facing the Chiefs last week, where he threw three interceptions for the first time since 2006.
The Jets have their work cut out for them, as the Bills have been a different team at home than on the road, winning three games at Ralph Wilson Stadium by an average score of 27-15. If Buffalo doesn’t turn the ball over, it wins. In fact, the Bills have eight giveaways in the two losses compared to just five in those five wins.

Look for both running games to struggle on Sunday. The Bills’ ground game has been inconsistent and will go against a defense that has allowed 82.6 rushing yards per game and 3.2 yards per attempt.
Meanwhile, Buffalo’s run defense has come on in the last two weeks, limiting the Chargers and Dolphins to 124 total yards. Other than Steven Jackson’s 110-yard performance in Week 4, the Bills have not allowed a 100-yard rusher.
The Jets have gotten better performances on the ground over the past two weeks, racking up a total of 377 yards.
Buffalo will be without three starters Sunday, as receiver Josh Reed, defensive end Aaron Schobel and right guard Brad Butler are all out with injuries. Reed hurt his right ankle and Achilles’ tendon in the loss at Miami this past weekend. He ranks second on the team with 26 catches for 288 yards and is second on the Bills and tied for 16th in the AFC with eight catches for 116 yards in third-down situations. Roscoe Parrish and rookie James Hardy will likely share duties replacing Reed. Schobel, meanwhile, is the team’s best pass-rusher.
The Bills have won three of the last four meetings with the Jets, including a sweep last season.
