Sarah Palin cries sexism over Newsweek cover

Newsweek Magazine has sparked controversy this week after reusing a Runner’s World photo of Sarah Palin, barelegged and sporting shorts, on the cover of this week’s issue.

The ex-GOP VP candidate slammed the news magazine in a scathing Facebook blog late Monday. Palin calls the photo selection a sexist and strategic manuever engineered by the liberal media to distract attention from the release of the former Alaska governor’s memoir, Going Rogue.

Sarah wrote: “The choice of photo for the cover of this week’s Newsweek is unfortunate. The Runner’s World magazine one-page profile for which this photo was taken was all about health and fitness — a subject to which I am devoted and which is critically important to this nation. The out-of-context Newsweek approach is sexist and oh-so-expected by now.”
