Obama chooses Evergreen Chapel follows in Bush’s footsteps
So much for the folks who thought Obama was going to be something/someone completely different from his predecessor, George Bush.
The Obama team, aides and friends, have been vetting churches, quietly, for the past five months. That’s some serious church shopping.
Part of the criteria – good preaching and uncontroversial.
The first family has chosen nondenominational Evergreen Chapel as their primary place of worship, the same place that the Bushes called their church home.
Other considerations were “financial, political, personal – but chief among them was the desire to worship without being on display.”
Indeed, CWE are happy the Obamas have found a place to worship. Indeed CWE hopes that the Obamas make worship a priority and calling upon our Creator a regular occurrence for wisdom and direction in his everyday decisions. Obama can be sure that churches across America, like him or not, are praying regularly for him.
CWE hopes and prays that the Obamas are regular attenders, that the preaching is Biblical (sometimes controversial to be sure) and that the Obamas will find themselves closer to our Creator and our Nation more in line with the Creator’s wishes.
