Lindsay Lohan is getting competition in her quest to play A-list icon Dame Elizabeth Taylor in an upcoming made-for-TV movie. Former Transformers hottie Megan Fox is also in the running for the role.

Reports have been swirling that Lohan is this close to signing a deal to play Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime biopic Liz and Dick, which will focus on Taylor’s love affair with her Cleopatra co-star Richard Burton.

But she’s reportedly not the only one being considered for the role.

Now executive producer Larry Thompson has told E! News he has also been in talks with Fox about the sought-after part as well.

“I’ve been talking to Lindsay Lohan directly, and with her reps, and have been in conversations with other actresses, including Megan Fox. It’s a very serious selection. It’s like casting for Hollywood royalty.”
