“Jon & Kate Plus 8 is ending in mid-to-late November, as previously reported,” a TLC spokeswoman told The New York Post Wednesday.
Last month, the network announced that the once-popular show would be renamed “Kate Plus 8″ beginning Nov. 2 after the breakup of Jon and Kate Gosselin. TLC has since decided to cease producing new episodes of the series, particularly since Jon Gosselin, 32, forbade the network from filming his eight children for their show.
TLC will try to squeeze out a couple remaining episodes from existing footage before putting the show to rest, sources say.
