Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva go out in public
Mel Gibson made his first public appearance with his new girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva – just two weeks after his wife Robyn filed for divorce.
The Lethal Weapon star was accompanied by the Russian pop star – 14 years his junior – on the red carpet at the Wolverine premiere at Hollywood’s Grauman’s Chinese Theatre last night.
An onlooker said: “They came in as quietly as they could and tried to be pretty low-key.
“You could tell they didn’t want to attract too much attention, although Mel seemed very comfortable with her.
”She looked great in a black dress.”
The 53-year-old actor – a devout Christian – held hands with Oksana as they posed for the cameras – making a clear statement that he is determined to enjoy his life following the permanent split from Robyn, his wife of 28 years.

His representative said: “Mel has really been single for almost three years and it’s nice to see him getting out and enjoying himself.”
Robyn – who has seven children with the Hollywood star – filed for divorce earlier this month, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
It came just weeks after he was he was spotted frolicking on a beach with Oksana, who is signed to Mel’s record label Icon.
The pair reportedly became close on the set of the movie Edge of Darkness last August, when they were photographed leaving his trailer together.
