Kanye West tops own douchiness, humiliates Taylor Swift at MTV awards (video)
Kanye West sparked outrage at the MTV VMAs by humiliating country starlet Taylor Swift live on stage.
The 19-year-old singer was accepting her Best Female Video prize when the rapper grabbed the mic off her to proclaim Beyonce deserved the gong.
He said: “Sorry Taylor, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.”
Shell-shocked Swift stood motionless on stage while Beyonce was seen mouthing “Oh my god” as a chorus of boos rang around the Radio City Music Hall in New York.
The audience then rose to their feet to cheer Swift who then left the podium.

Beyonce later invited the teenager back onto the stage to have her moment when the former DESTINY’S CHILD singer accepted her Video of The Year prize – the big award of the night.
She said: “I remember being 17 years old, up for my first MTV award with Destiny’s Child and it was one of the most exciting moments in my life, so I’d like for Taylor to come out and have her moment.”
Kanye went on his blog right away to issue an apology, saying: “I’m sooooo sorry to Taylor Swift and her fans and her mum.
“I spoke to her mother after and she said the same thing my mother would’ve said. She is very talented.
“I like the lyrics about being a cheerleader and she’s in the Bleachers!

“I’m in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment!
“Beyonce’s video was the best of the decade!!!
“I’m sorry to my fans if I let you guys down!!! I’m sorry to my friends at MTV. I will apologize to Taylor 2mrw.
“Welcome to the real world!!! Everybody wanna boooo me but I’m a fan of real pop culture!!!
“No disrespect but we watchin’ the show at the crib right now cause… well you know!!!
“I’m still happy for Taylor!!! Booyaawwww!!! You are very very talented!!! I gave my awards to Outkast when they deserved it over me… that’s what it is!!!!!
“I’m not crazy yall, I’m just real. Sorry for that!!!!
“I really feel bad for Taylor and I’m sincerely sorry!!! Much respect!!!”
Some stars at the bash used their Twitter pages to vent their disgust at Kanye.
Pink wrote: “Kanye west is the biggest piece of s**t on earth.”
She added: “My heart goes out to taylor swift. She is a sweet and talented girl and deserved her moment.
“She should know we all love her.”
Katy Perry posted: “F**K U KANYE. IT’S LIKE U STEPPED 0N A KITTEN.”
