Angelina Jolie breastfeeding sculpture to grace Oklahoma City
A life-size nude statue of Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie will soon grace the streets of Oklahoma City.
New York-based artist Daniel Edwards has created a bronze sculpture featuring the stunning mother of six breastfeeding her young twins Knox and Vivienne.
The statue, titled “Landmark for Breastfeeding,” was inspired by Angie’s 2008 W Magazine cover, in which she was photographed by boyfriend Brad Pitt nursing the newborns.
The structure will be unveiled next month.
“We believe the statue sends a beautiful message by promoting the acceptance of public breastfeeding. Mothers should be encouraged to nurture their babies anywhere,” says Sandy Wilson of Phantom-Financial, the organization behind the sculpture.
In my humble opinion, I don’t think this will serve the purpose to ‘promote the acceptance of public breastfeeding’, she looks miserable while doing it, and besides, that thing sticking out of her head makes her look like a freaking candle.
